  • Day Shift DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION "Our Resource Team provides short term and long term staffing coverage on our inpatient acute care units, which include our telemetry, medical-surgical, oncology, behavioral health, surgical services, and Emergency Department floors. This is a great opportunity to provide bedside care in a role where no two shifts are alike." POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Patient care consistent with nursing unit standards and proceduresPlan and schedule assigned patient care activities to maximize efficiency and quality of careProvide functional assistance to patients including dressing, undressing, toileting, eating, bathing, oral care, and hygiene, and supports plan for nutrition and hydrationAnswer patient call lights promptly and respond appropriately to patient’s needsPatient observation, reporting, and recordkeeping related to patient careSupport nursing staff with patient plan of careLift, position, ambulate and transfer patients PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating

  • Maintain a safe environment of care

  • Patient transportation

  • Prepare patients for surgery

  • Perform non-invasive lab procedures

  • Transport equipment and supplies

  • Assist with treatments

  • Perform various clerical tasks

  • Take vital signs REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active licensure to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with Washington State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)

  • High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
