Description Clinical Nurse Specialist @ Swedish Cherry Hill Full time 1 FTE Day shift The Clinical Nurse Specialist demonstrates an advanced level of professional competence in a specialized field of nursing. The primary roles of the Clinical Nurse Specialist include: practitioner, educator, leader, consultant and researcher. Within each role the Clinical Nurse Specialist uses problem solving strategies and the nursing process to improve outcomes. S/he works collaboratively with the staff and managers to develop criteria for patient care, assess health needs of patients, and evaluate outcomes of nursing interventions. The time spent in each of the role components varies with patient population, unit and department needs and organizational priorities. This position has system wide responsibility; CNS staff are required to have transportation to be available at all Swedish Medical Center locations as needed. Required Qualifications: Master's Degree Nursing with clinical focus from an accredited school of nursing. Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 3 years Current nursing experience in related clinical area (Perinatal).
