UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for experienced Nurses to consider a Nurse Researcher/and Magnet Program Director. RESPONSIBILITIES FACILITATE NURSING CLINICAL RESEARCH WITHIN THE MEDICAL CENTER (50%)
Collaborates with staff nurses, leadership and professional practice councils to identify clinical research questions and opportunities. Catalogs and coordinates research activities within Patient Care Services.

MAGNET PROGRAM DIRECTOR (40%)
The Operations Director for Magnet Accreditation maintains oversite and responsibility for the Magnet reaccreditation and maintenance: In coordination with Nursing Leadership, completes all ANCC required documents for application and submission of documentation.

DATA MANAGEMENT (10%)
Manages data collection related to the nursing dashboards including Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators, nursing satisfaction and patient experience.

SCHEDULE Full-time, Days. Some telework.

REQUIREMENTS Background in conducting research in an acute care setting (minimum three years experience). Familiarity with regulatory requirements affecting clinical research. Previous experience with Magnet program. Customer-focused individual with excellent time management, decision-making and analytical skills. Well-developed interpersonal and consultation skills with demonstrated effectiveness working with all levels within a health care organization. Preferred additional experience: Five years of clinical experience in an acute care setting; evidence of peer reviewed publications; success in securing extramural funding for research, previously served as Magnet Program Director or similar program.

Required – Minimum Education (e.g., BA, MS, PhD; include the field of study):Master of Nursing required. PhD in nursing or related field or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)strongly desired. Three to five years of experience in a clinical setting and at least three year of experience in facilitating clinical research/evidence-based practice. Experience in a Magnet organization highly desired.
