UW Medicine Faculty Practice Plan Services (FPPS) has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time, day shift, CLAIMS SUPERVISOR.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • This position is Remote POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The Claims Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and control of the Claim Specialist Team, ensuring that effective operations run smoothly and staff-assigned work queues are maintained within the budgeted benchmarks. They are also responsible for hiring, training and oversight of staff performance; ensuring strong communication exchange with other department; and promoting and supporting a culture of continuous learningthroughout the department. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Direct the daily activities of department staff. Provide employees with daily feedback on qualityand quantity of work and monitors monthly performance statistics.• Perform weekly one-on-one meetings with each staff member to review performance, answerquestions and monitor progress on any special projects.• Prepare and present annual performance evaluations for each staff member.• Coordinate training of new staff in conjunction with department Lead.• Prepare and coordinate regular staff meetings. Maintain meeting minutes.• Effectively resolves problems and disputes and/or recommends administrative course of action to the Claims, Payment & Credit Manager with the development and implementation of new or revised procedures and instructionwith appropriate employees.• Support staff training and quality:o Ensure staff under direct supervision are trained in a timely manner.o Manage and facilitate the release of staff to attend learning events.o Provide constructive feedback regarding performance on a continuous basis.o Evaluate staff’s quality assurance audit results and work collaborativelywith training department to identify and/or design instructional resources to improve performance. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS High School graduation or equivalent AND three years of experience in patient accounting, customer service, or a related office environmentORequivalent education/experience.
