This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. As a part of the Global Transportation and Logistics team, you will manage the carrier portfolio leveraged to execute the transportation operations within the network. You will architect the carrier strategy, determine how to service volume requirements, and benchmark performance across all movements. You will play a critical role in making our transportation network the most capable and efficient on the planet. This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to set and communicate the vision, strategy and tactical application of transportation performance management at Blue Origin. You will report directly to the Sr. Director of Global Transportation and Logistics. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Qualifications: This leader needs to be highly adept in root cause analysis to analyze and dissect performance misses, identify failure modes, and solve issues systemically. Experience in Lean Six Sigma is preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment involving ambiguity and high rates of change Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion 8+ years experience in project/program management or business development Experience with working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams Experience with managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership Experience owning/driving a strategy and vision with senior stakeholders Experience as a single-threaded leader/owner Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Responsibilities: They must be a thought-leader in the area of performance management and defect resolution Executive-level partnership, engagement, and relationship-building with senior leadership of third party carriers They will look around corners to predict blockers to scale and recognize and act on opportunities to develop best-practices and drive higher operational excellence, efficiency, and automation They will need to create strong partnerships across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, with suppliers They must have the ability and willingness to operate at all levels Define and execute the carrier strategy for Global Transportation and Logistics Define and execute on the performance management framework for Global Transportation and Logistics Oversee development of solutions, drive consensus within the organization and effectively communicate recommendations to senior management Support
