Job Summary This position is responsible for the purchase of goods, services, and supplies under general supervision in accordance with Company procurement policies and procedures. Reviews, approves, processes, tracks, and reconciles purchasing requests in accordance with program guidelines. Provides fulfillment customer service to internal stakeholders and external partners and members. Essential Responsibilities Purchasing Reviews, approves, and processes purchasing requests such as purchase requisitions and program specific purchasing initiatives in accordance with program guidelines and in compliance with Company purchasing policies and procedures. Completes program specific single and bulk orders within program guidelines. Locates, evaluates, and selects sources of supply from established vendors. Maintains data information, files, reports, and price lists. Reconciles orders with ordering lists, credit card statements, and other data records. Resolves problems related to shipping, receiving, and billing discrepancies with partners/members and vendors; negotiates returns and allowances. Customer Service Provides internal customer service by developing and maintaining working relationships throughout the Company; identifies customer requirements and specifications; acts as a consultant to customers by advising on products and vendors and providing guidance and assistance in compiling, writing, and review product specifications. Acts as a point of contact for order fulfillment inquiries/issues with external partners and members. Inventory Management Maintains inventory levels; monitors order quantities, return policies and utilization. Perform periodic inventory for stored purchased goods. Facilitate orders out of storage inventory utilizing internal Company services or third-party services. Experience and/or Education Required Minimum 2 years' experience in buying goods and services Minimum 2 years' experience in direct customer service Preferred Minimum 3 years' experience in buying goods and services Experience within health care, managed care, or for organizations that serve vulnerable populations Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Knowledge General knowledge of procurement and contract principles and procedures Understanding of basic techniques and processes for vendor negotiation and buying Knowledge
