Starbucks is seeking a highly skilled and motivated business systems analyst to support the integrated logistics accounting team. The integrated logistics accounting team has overall responsibility for managing Starbucks’ third-party audit and pay providers to ensure timely freight invoice processing and accounting of freight costs. As a member of the integrated logistics team, you will play an integral role by matching invoices, working with cross functional teams to make system/process improvements as well as support monthly accounting close and audit.

As a business system analyst, you will provide expertise in the following areas:

• Acts as a subject matter expert in integrated logistics subledger systems.

• Identifies key risks and opportunities and works cross functionally to provide solutions that drive process improvements, strengthen the systems environment, and assist with audit & SOX controls.

• Map transactions flows and work collaboratively with accountants to identify posting errors or potential system mapping issues that need to be resolved.

• Assist with month end close tasks by preparing journals and reconciliations.

• Supporting a subledger accounting team, maintaining high standards for close accuracy and timing.

• Working cross functionally with operational and technical teams

• Building queries and reports using various tools such as SQL queries, Power BI, Incorta, Tableau, Alteryx.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to assess business processes and implement improvements and make recommendations

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan or other ERP) and business intelligence reporting tools such as tableau, power BI, Incorta, SQL queries.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong desire to figure out issues and create processes to prevent or identify future issues.

• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, while exhibiting exceptional attention to detail and continuously driving process improvements.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
