Amazon Business Operations Manager, US Prime in Seattle, Washington

Description

The US Prime team is searching for a Business Operations Manager to help us reach the next phase in Prime growth. This is a high-visibility role with weekly interaction with senior Amazon leadership, and candidates should enjoy maintaining high standards under tight deadlines.

This individual will be responsible for US Prime business operations, including leading annual planning, tracking progress against key goals, coordinating with stakeholders across the company, and leading weekly, monthly and quarterly business performance reviews. Given the breadth of Prime at Amazon, there is significant room for process innovation, and this individual will also be responsible for establishing best practices that can be replicated by in-country teams globally in all Prime locales.

The ideal candidate is fluent with business metrics, over-indexes in ownership, is a natural organizer, and operates effectively across many teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive the cadence and content for business, operational, and strategic reviews.

  • Monitor and facilitate progress of executive goals and targets.

  • Work with other business units and influence strategic directions.

  • Drive special projects or strategic projects.

  • Performs additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

  • Work with leaders and stakeholders to drive project execution and deliver on agreed-to project requirements.

  • Engage with finance and operations to help make data-driven decisions.

  • Assist leaders in the annual planning process

  • Set and drive regular cadence of communications to various stakeholders including internal team members and external audiences.

  • Responsible for communications of key initiatives across points of contact

  • Facilitate discussions in areas related to program directions, strategic discussions, and conflicts.

  • Sets standards and bar raises reporting quality and expectations across all business operations partners.

  • Ensure implementation and execution of auditing and operating mechanisms, including tracking goals, escalations, forward looking program needs, and review of VP+ documents.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
