Amazon Business Intelligence Engineer, World Wide Field Enablement in Seattle, Washington

Description

As a Business Intelligence Engineer within the WWFE organization, you will play a strategic role in driving the design, implementation, and delivery of cutting-edge business intelligence solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Leveraging tools like Amazon QuickSight for advanced data analysis, visualization, and reporting

• Demonstrating expertise in SQL and being proficient in Python and AWS services to tackle complex data challenges

• Applying advanced data science techniques, such as chi-square, t-test, and correlation analysis, to drive data-driven decision making

• Leading the introduction of innovative technologies, including generative AI and machine learning, into our reporting and analytics workflows

• Implementing robust data security and governance measures to ensure the protection of sensitive customer information

• Centralizing and harmonizing data sources to enable self-service analytics capabilities for our teams and customers

• Mapping sales output with training performance and conducting in-depth correlation analysis using your data science skills

• Mentoring and developing other data and analytics professionals within the organization, sharing your knowledge and expertise

• Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

A day in the life

As a WWFE Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be empowered to innovate on a daily-basis with access to any tools you believe will do the job at hand best. You will be supported by a diverse team of fellow DEs, BIEs, SDEs, and PMs. Your work will directly to enable impact through data for all of WWFE and will include, though not limited to, decision consulting with business stakeholders, designing visualizations, managing pipelines, and enabling self-serve for our our business stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

  • Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
