The Business Intelligence team focuses on reporting, analysis, and facilitating high bandwidth conversations across teams and stakeholders. We own Business Intelligence & Analytics for the organization and strive to provide deep insights to drive action and success for the entire organization. We are looking for candidates with a passion for data, analytics, insights and technology and who can a have broad impact across one of the biggest e-commerce businesses in the world.

Specific responsibilities include: - Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions

• Engage closely with retail business users including Vendor Managers, Instock Managers and Marketing Managers.

• Build and analyze key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues.

• Help define requirements for reporting retail metrics, and translate those requirements into effective data visualizations and analytical solutions

• Derive insights from business questions and retail data and provide input to drive business growth

• Be responsive to the needs of consumers of the BI data and tool

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional or military experience

• 5+ years of SQL experience

• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets

• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

• Experience with AWS technologies

• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

• Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
