Job summary

Are you passionate about using data to power third party vendor engagement and optimize partnerships? The AWS Talent Acquisition (TA) Technology Team is looking for a smart, driven, problem solver to provide support for analyzing people and operational metrics.

The TA Tech team works backwards from the needs of the recruiting team and our outsourcing partners to implement and optimize technology, influence underlying process, and manage relationship metrics.

In this role, you will develop deep expertise with the tools, processes, and policies for TA at AWS. You will work with business owners, technologists, and recruiting partners to understand and document strategy, requirements, and timelines. You will participate in cross-functional teams through the process and policy design, delivery, implementation, and support of third-party outsourcing services.

The successful candidate will be a customer-obsessed self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. They will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and a proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize work.

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with program managers, business analysts, and business leaders to define and deliver required analytical capabilities

• Leverage code to analyze complex datasets and design, develop and evaluate data transformations to solve specific business problems

• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting/analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation

• Build scalable, efficient, and automated data processes to facilitate customer-facing reporting

• Help define requirements around and establish actionable KPIs

About the team

The AWS TA Tech & Process Strategy team is an enablement partner with the AWS Talent Acquisition business, using the pillars of process and technology to help the team hire tens of thousands of AWS builders every year.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or a related discipline

• 5+ years hands-on analytics work experience, with proven quantitative orientation

• Experience in leading complex large-scale BI solution implementation

• Advanced skills in SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse solutions and data modeling

• Experience with automated self-service reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and QuickSight

• Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions

• Proven ability to structure complex analysis and perform the analysis to drive insights

• Fluency with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, or an equivalent quantitative field

• 7+ years of industry experience working as a BIE or related specialty

• Experience using Cloud Storage and Computing technologies such as AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop, etc.

• Experience communicating results and business impact of analytical deep dives to senior leadership

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working in a remote setting
