Business Development Associates (BDA) work to prospect cold and warm leads through the development of creative acquisition strategies and client research. A BDA will contribute to the delivery of overall sales goals by booking media calls with potential clients. This role affords the opportunity to master prospecting at PitchBook and continue to learn the overall media and financial industry as well as develop the skills necessary for making the transition to a Media Sales Business Development Representative. Primary Job Responsibilities: Achieve demo booking goals measured at a monthly cadence while providing an excellent experience for prospective customers Work with Media Sales team to build strategy to engage top clients Connect with prospects through written and verbal communication in order to book demos that show off the media offering and drive deal closure Drive engagement with prospects through personally crafted sequences and/or marketing provided materials via Highspot Act as a consultant - take the time to understand your clients' needs and business priorities and address them head on asking thorough and pointed questions, guiding potential clients through needs analysis and discovery sessions to qualify the lead and drive new opportunities Work closely with senior business development representatives to grow knowledge of client needs and the end-to-end sales cycle Work continuously to document the details of each prospective client interaction in Salesforce in order to improve the customer experience and drive deal closure Consistent follow up on prospective client inquiries Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, and related majors 1+ year of successful sales experience with a technology product preferred Prior experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred Experience in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital preferred Love to prospect - you will act as the engine of our sales
