If yes - then read on!We need you, a seasoned Business Data Governance Advisor who will be responsible for leading engagements with business lines across the 12th District and Federal Reserve System. You will apply your acute analytical and organizational skills, prudent judgment, and decision-making ability plus an innovative approach to problem solving to provide collaborative and consultative support for 12th District business lines.This exciting new role is in the 12th District's Information Governance Program, and will work with other Information Governance Professionals, Business Leaders, and IT Leaders to effectively motivate people, instill accountability, and demonstrate the value of data and information across a wide range of stakeholders.Highlights of Responsibilities:Work with stakeholders to facilitate alignment, data ownership and stewardship, and implement common data management practices.Support and integrate with teams to chart the path to data management maturity.Create, maintain, communicate, and implement data governance policies, processes, and procedures for the 12th District in alignment with business lines' needs and in collaboration with Information Technology Services.Perform research and data analysis to identify data quality issues, data relations, and data dependencies to support business operations and presents findings to business users and stakeholders.Assess existing business processes and associated data, make improvement recommendations, and implement changes to enable greater effectiveness and efficiency.Champion the importance of good data management principles to internal and external stakeholders, drive adoption of the District's data governance focused policies.Document and maintain data standards, partnering with functional and business data owners to map existing data structures, usage, and common definitions.Convey a self-motivated, pragmatic, and get-it-done attitude.Qualifications:BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in data governance preferred. Relevant MA/MS or MBA a plus.5 years' experience and knowledge in data governance, compliance, controls testing/monitoring typically required.Ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.Ability to lead various data initiatives and have a customer-focused mindset.Ability to leverage relationships and a deep understanding of the business and its data to improve the data's ability to support desired business outcomes.Capability to be agile, proactive, comfortable working with ambiguous specifications, think outside the box to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems.Proficient in analyzing data in excel or using structured query language (SQL); exposure to Cloud databases and query languages is highly desired.
