As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will workwith stakeholders,technical product managers, engineers and architectsto(1) document requirements, (2) define scope, (3) articulate objectives and key results, and (4) curate intelligible catalogs of information (both business focused and technically focused) to support the design, expansion, maintenance and operation of a modern data platform.This position requiresresilience to ambiguity, ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment. As a Business Analyst, yourcommitment to quality and attention to detailwilldirectly impact the history of space explorationand willrequire your dedicated commitment andfocusedattention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.Responsibilities:Collaborate with departments,technical product managers, engineers and architectsto collect, document and communicate business and system requirementsObserve, document and validate business processes in a wide range of business functionsRecommend controls by identifying problems and documenting improvements with business justification of increased safety, reduced risk, or improved efficiencyMap systems and solutions to business capabilities and identify OKRs to measure the improvements or otherwise of a particular solution to that capabilityDefine and prepare reportsfor monitoring internal team processes, and to track the success or failure of projects and initiativesUnderstand and communicate the financial and operational impact of system and process changes related to data platformsSupport software and platform releases and User Acceptance TestingQualifications:4+years ofexperience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or similar positionBachelor'sDegreein a technical or business related fieldAdvanced experience in database interrogation of SQL and NOSQL databasesStrong analyticalskill set and a high degree of proficiency in data miningProven ability to define requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insightsProficiency in Excel, Tableau,PowerBIor similar reporting/analysis toolsExcellent written communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellenceAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics(or similar area of study)and/or Master's in Business AdministrationExperience working hands on with cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCPExperience working in Agile Development TeamsExperience working with Web based APIs (e.g. REST, SOAP)Experience with a high level programming language (e.g. Python, R, GO)Advanced understanding of a wide array of data models including relational, dimensional, document-based, object oriented, object-relational, and graphicalExport Control RegulationsApplicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S.as a refugee or granted asylum.Equal Employment OpportunityBlue Origin is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Aff
