Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry: We are adding aBuilding Energy Engineerto our growing Technical Services division in Seattle, WA. McKinstry supports clients and their facilities throughout the life of a building; the Technical Service team specifically focuses on the optimization and energy efficiency of existing buildings with a uniquely technical consultative approach. We work directly with owners and building operators to help them make effective decisions that improve the efficiency, occupant comfort, and lifespan of their buildings. In this role, you will conduct technical audits and develop energy models, as well as apply energy use data from facilities information systems to drive operational efficiency as part of our Active Energy Management consulting services. These activities help our clients comply with Washington State's Clean Building Performance Standard, and the City of Seattle's Building Tune-Up and Building Emissions Performance Standard programs. You will leverage your experience in problem solving, systems analysis, data analysis and communication to drive sustainability and efficiency for education, healthcare, and other large impact facilities. Communication and collaboration are a huge part of this role, as you will be supporting a variety of projects and interface with a wide array of stakeholders. Your role will be an integral part of a team using data acquisition and analysis to develop technical recommendations and present them to clients. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry: Experience with visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI. Advanced knowledge of Excel. Understanding of building systems and associated utility consumption. Proficient in building data acquisition and analysis and reporting. Proficient in communication/team collaboration/internal and external Interactions. 5 - 8 years relevant work experience. Technical Degree or Data Analyst Degree or equivalent work experience. Proven proficiency as Building Energy Specialist or equivalent. Energy Management and Sustainability Professional designations are a plus.
