The Amazon Brand Team within XCM (Cross Channel Marketing) serves as caretakers for the Amazon brand identity. We are the designers responsible for setting the standard for the Amazon visual brand expression with tools and mechanisms that foster better brand standards adoption and governance across the company.We transform customer insights, brand positioning strategies, and brand personality traits into clear, compelling, and scalable, brand-led experiences that empower teams across Amazon to quickly launch new products and services that spin the flywheel and drive measurable impact on overall Amazon brand perception. Our team leverages empathy, user-centered design principles, and deep customer insights to ensure that the communications, experiences, tools, and design artifacts used to express the Amazon brand are useful, meaningful, and accessible to all. Through an elevated level of design, we elicit deeper understanding, desire, and engagement from our customers and stakeholders.We are seeking a Designer to join our team in Seattle. You will be working with other designers, writers, creative, and marketing professionals to design exceptional, customer-led brand experiences impacting millions of people around the world. The ability to work hands-on, concept, and execute bar-raising creative within a larger team and on behalf of the brand is critical. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and branding and understands how and where to best focus their creative exploration to align with project briefs, stakeholder inputs, functional requirements, and timelines. Advanced understanding of design fundamentals related to typography, grid, layout, and accessibility should be demonstrated though a professional level design portfolio of relevant, real-world projects. Our work is often self-directed, so comfort working with ambiguity, bias for action, and strong communication and organizational skills are must haves.Basic Qualifications* 4+ years of design industry experience with an agency or in-house* Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote* Portfolio demonstrating systematic brand and identity design scaling across multiple touch pointsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
