JLL BI Specialist in Seattle, Washington

As the BI Specialist you are responsible for developing reports, analyzing data, and recommending analytical solutions that help our customers better understand their data and make informed decisions about their business. Your role requires you to understand and translate the needs of our customers and develop reports and analytical solutions that meet their requirements. As the BI Specialist you are responsible for creating data and reporting solutions that present information in a clear and concise way. As a BI Specialist you are required to work at pace, using agile working methodologies that enable an iterative approach to delivery. You will address and execute on complex customer needs, document and analyze requirements, design data and analytical solutions and present future-state visions to customers. Possessing a strong technical knowledge is essential as is being able to effectively and collaboratively communicate with stakeholders, and sharing your knowledge with, and learning from other specialists and analyst, and the wider JLL analytics community. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain new reports or modify existing reports as needed to meet business needs using Tableau, QuickSight, and other business intelligence tools. Analyze data to determine trends and patterns. Participate in release planning sessions and provide input on reporting and data needs. Develop analytical solutions based upon data that is defined and based upon business rules and consistent ways of working. Develop solutions that comply with the account's Data Architecture strategy: data is defined and structured once through relational models, but then used multiple times through published data sources. Implement analytics solutions in cooperation with customers and support business users to identify actionable business insights from the data. Maximize the account's analytics, ensuring dashboards and analytics are developed using industry-leading techniques and constantly referencing best practices identified through the BI community. Analyze data and effectively communicate your findings in a way that is easy to understand by your intended audience. Build effective analytical products. Transform transactional data into meaningful business insights to help people see and understand data. Demonstrate concepts for data and analytics, from design thinking through to creative solutions. Embrace new techniques and technology, taking high-level business requirements and working in partnership with external experts to develop solutions from conceptual models, through to actual proof of concepts and finally sustainable business-as-usual solutions. Participate in peer code reviews and troubleshooting. Experience Broad understanding of the Corporate Real Estate business. Experience in working within a complex, corporate environment. Strong communicator - written and verbal communication to all levels of a client organization. Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, computer science, information technology, or related field 4+ years of experience as a report developer or similar role. Experience developing reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau, QuickSight and Thought Spot. Experience with AWS analytical tools preferred. Experience with Agile methodologies. Proficient in SQL with a good understanding of database concepts. A background in statistics or data science is a plus.
