The Product Line Expansion Product Development Senior Manager will support the BGS CMESP organization based in Seattle, WA. CMESP provides comprehensive and up-to-date passenger Modifications, Engineering Services, Converted Freighters, and Specialty Products such as cabin interiors that provide maximum lifecycle value and enable commercial airplane operators to meet the usage demands of its flight crews and passengers. The CMESP Product Line Expansion team senior manager will lead the team developing new product and service offerings in the portfolio. The product development team is responsible to grow and reshape existing businesses, processes and services for CMESP – identifying, maturing, and supporting the delivery of innovative business models that delight our customers. Position is located in Seattle, WA.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Senior manager with individual contributor direct reports.

  • Owns product line roadmap (dashboard) that leads to market dominant position for Boeing

  • Understands product at global level, including customer segmentation, competition, market, buying behavior

  • ​Project manage all organic and inorganic CMESP product development programs across all Boeing platforms

  • Develop the strategy to maximize the goals of the organization (Design, Build cost, Partnerships with Suppliers, Global)

  • Accountable for the cost and schedule target for the organic development

  • Develop and manage the approach for customer feedback of the organic development

  • Coordinates with other organizations to create an integrated product offering that secures Boeing IP at all levels

  • Leads integration and operational support between CMESP business units and in support of CMESP business unit leader

  • Ensure operating rhythm remains organized and crisp, consistent messaging documented across project, business unit reviews, and other action item trackers, etc.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications: (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment ​

  • 3+ years of experience in customer-focused business development, commercial growth strategy, product development, and/or management consulting and business case development technical/aerospace roles.

  • 3+ years of experience developing and presenting recommendations to executive level management ​

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA)

  • Experience with commercial aircraft programs, interiors, or modifications, airline/MRO maintenance, and aircraft parts functional knowledge

  • Management consulting, aviation marketing and business case modeling experience

  • Excellent communicator and inquisitive leader with ability to structure ambiguous business data into meaningful, insightful information and deliver clear, concise recommendations

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $157,250 – $212,750
