As part of the Total Rewards team, the Benefits Coordinator is responsible for participating in the administration of our employee benefit and leave programs, providing direct customer support to our employees and maintaining benefits related information in our HRIS.

This is Temporary Full-Time role.

  • Serves a contact for all benefits to new, current and prospective employees. Answer questions regarding benefits eligibility, coverage, policies and programs. Escalate complex questions to Sr. Benefits Analysts.

  • Supports the LOA team with administrative tasks related to processing requests for leaves of absence including responding to employee questions, escalating urgent requests, tracking leave information, and helping determine eligibility

  • Provide excellent customer service to all levels of employees and encourage timeliness and accuracy of completed paperwork and/or the resolution of problems

  • Assists team members with benefit enrollment process

  • Manages all HR system transactions for employee benefit enrollments and leave management. These may include managing benefits and leaves transactions in Workday as well as time entry for employees on leave.

  • Coordinate transfer of data to carriers and third party administrators

  • Oversees billing process for benefits related invoices, audits reports and reconcile invoices and resolves discrepancies

  • Maintain employee benefit and leaves information and files

  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and laws (ACA, ERISA, FMLA etc.)

  • Support LOA and Retirement Specialist(s)

  • Special Projects and related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

  • 0-2 years’ experience in benefits or leaves, 1 year of general HR experience

  • Intermediate knowledge of HRIS databases preferred, prior Workday or Kronos experience highly preferred

  • Intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint

  • High commitment to customer service and the ability to respond to a high volume of employee questions

  • Possess a high level of integrity – must always show good judgment and confidentiality

  • Willingness to problem-solve creatively

  • Dependable and highly detailed individual with strong organizational skills

  • Highly motivated, results driven and able to work independently as well as with the team

  • Clear and effective oral and written presentation of ideas/recommendation
