Providence Health & Services Barista in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Barista (0.5 FTE - 20 hours per week, Day Shift) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
The schedule for this position could fall between Monday through Friday, 7:00AM until 5:00PM.
In this position you will:
Create a positive café/gift shop experience for our customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable café/gift shop environment.
Assist with unloading and setting up products and gift store items, keep coffee equipment clean.
Interact with residents, families, and caregivers, creating a welcoming environment.
Anticipate customer and café/gift shop needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
Communicate information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a community gathering space for residents, visitors, and caregivers.
Assist with volunteer training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
Deliver customer service to all customers by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED).
Current Washington Food Handler's Card.
Six (6) months of customer service experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Six (6) months of cash handling experience.
Three (3) months of previous experience as a barista or in dining services.
