The Infrastructure Finance team provides end-to-end financial support for this multi-billion dollar business, driving AWS to be the low cost provider in Cloud computing and the leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in building, operating and innovating for our Cloud datacenters. The AWS Infrastructure FP&A team has an opening for a Financial Analyst II. In this position, you will: Dive deep into the cost structures of the expanding AWS Infrastructure regional footprint, identify key drivers, differences, and trends among regions, provide valuable insights and work with other finance counterparts to formulate explanations, and deliver recommendations on actions items to drive business improvement. Key Responsibilities * Manage process of generating monthly, quarterly, and annual AWS Infrastructure regional cost reports to be presented to AWS business and finance leadership * Collaborate with AWS Infrastructure finance counterparts to produce comprehensive analyses in support of Regional P&L reviews on an ongoing basis * Build and improve efficient data analytics models to identify and deliver valuable regional cost benchmarks, variances, trends, and outliers * Deep dive on region specific cost performance and provide actionable recommendations to AWS senior management * Drive improvements in analytics capability through developing automation projects with the TM1 tools team Basic Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other technical discipline. * 2+ years of relevant finance experience. Preferred Qualifications* Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment; high tolerance for ambiguity. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor. * Demonstrated ability to drive change. * Attention to detail. * Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload. * A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations. * Familiarity with TM1/Cognos, or similar systems* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. * Strong analytic, financial modeling and reporting skills.
