Job Title: AWS Certified Welder-Structural Steel

Job Description

We are seeking an AWS Certified Structural Steel Welder to join our team in Tukwila. The ideal candidate will possess experience in welding with MIG, TIG, and stick on structural steel. This position requires AWS certification (D1.1) and the ability to read blueprints and execute full fabrication from scratch. The welder will also use tools such as band saws and drills to create steel parts for scaffolding equipment, including anchors and cages. You will work closely with our welding lead until his retirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural steel.

• Read and interpret blueprints for fabrication projects.

• Execute full fabrication of steel parts from scratch.

• Utilize tools such as band saws and drills.

• Create steel parts for scaffolding equipment including anchors and cages.

• Work independently and within a small team environment.

Essential Skills

• AWS Certification (D1.1)

• Experience in TIG, MIG, and stick welding

• Proficiency in reading blueprints

• Full fabrication experience

• Ability to work with structural steel

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work independently

• Experience with various fabrication tools and equipment

Work Environment

You will be required to wear a hard hat, safety vest, and steel-toe boots. The work environment is small and clean. Overtime opportunities may be available, although the workload may be slower at times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
