Description: An Avionics Lab Engineering Technician job is currently available at Belcan in Seattle, WA. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have four years of work experience in product or system development, design, implementation and validation and verification, previous network systems experience, along with a bachelor's degree. You will be working with Aerospace customers.

Job Duties:

  • Assembling COTS hardware, ordering and tracking materials, troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies, building simple cable assemblies, and updating documentation and drawings.

  • Performs updating, configuring, repairing, testing, and operation of test servers and hardware

  • Assists in troubleshooting, component removal and replacement, testing and documentation following schematics, layout diagrams, and work instructions in accordance with regulations.

  • Proficient in the use of standard electronic lab test and troubleshooting equipment, such as oscilloscopes and handheld multimeters

  • Responsible for execution of a set of laboratory experiments or for a complex laboratory function.

  • Should demonstrate an understanding of engineering terminology and be able to work well in a technically diverse team environment.

  • Supports installation and upgrading operating system in a multi user client/server environments.

  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written assembly procedures

  • Hands on fabrication, assembly, or maintenance experience

  • Troubleshoot end-to-end data flows and identify sections of failure

  • Basic digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft office suite

  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and desire for continuous improvement

  • Ability to thrive as a member of a team

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

  • May assist in the design of basic lab, experimental, and commercial equipment.

  • Perform the receipt, unpacking and storing of incoming purchase orders

  • Server+ certification

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, or Systems Engineering or equivalent certification

  • Four+ years total experience in product or system development, design, implementation and V&V.

  • Linux/Unix experience is required.

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions in both design and implementation stages.

  • Previous networking experience

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to make plans and directional recommendations collaboratively and cross-functionally.

  • Ability to engineer creative, new approaches to problems.

  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired but not required skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, or Systems Engineering.

  • Experience working in a laboratory/simulated test environment

  • Experience in commercial or military airplane maintenance and/or modification

  • Experience or education with network systems and scripting necessary to perform or conduct verification analysis, design, modeling and testing.

  • Experience in computational analysis

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $93,600 to $124,800. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
