Amazon Autonomous Driving/ADAS Strategy & Business Development Leader, Auto & Manufacturing - BD in Seattle, Washington

Description

AWS is seeking a specialist and leader in Autonomous Driving/ADAS Strategy & Business Development to join our automotive and manufacturing team. This leader will be responsible for building AWS’ business strategy and setting the strategic priorities, and business initiatives, to support customers to bring to market fully electric, driver-optional, and smart vehicles to enable clean, safe, efficient, and economically viable transportation for today and in the future.

Key job responsibilities

• Leads strategy development, including setting strategic priorities and initiatives for the AWS Automotive and Manufacturing organization. This requires leading across a wide stakeholder team including Partners, Technology, Solutions and Go To Market (GTM), Sales, Engineering, ProServe, Marketing, AR/PR, Legal, and more.

• Collaborates with Industry specialists in the field and engages with customers to continually assess the strategic priorities and progress and adjusts appropriately. Establishes communication mechanisms to enable inputs and share learnings across the business.

• Collaborates with Technology, Partner, and Solutions /GTM strategy leaders to ensure comprehensive approach on how business, technology, partner, and solution motions align and are able to serve the customers as an integrated strategy.

• Works with Industry technical leaders/Solution Architects (SA), service team leaders, Industry Products, ProServe, and partner teams to shape new investment recommendations for the business, including building investment business cases.

• Works with Industry Marketing team to develop related content for both external audiences and internal field sales organization audiences. Attends and speaks at industry events and customer events.

• Leads innovation efforts relating to autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and designs new programs to drive adoption of offerings to support customer business outcomes.

• Present business reviews to senior management on progress and actions to expand reach and impact in industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of successful experience in automotive and manufacturing industry in fields relating to autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) areas with a focus on technology, business development, product and partner management, solution development, or venture investing experience in a corporate environment

  • Strategy development experience, including identifying market trends, industry/customer needs, business strategy including identifying proposed partnerships, and executing the strategy and successful partnerships.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or proven technical acumen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Executive with Automotive and Manufacturing industry experience and cloud/technology practitioner skills and expertise.

  • Thought leader with a solid understanding of automotive and manufacturing industry transformation and the role of technology and AI products.

  • Experience in working with automotive and manufacturing industry customers at the CxO/VP level.

  • Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics and ability to convey compelling value propositions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability gain respect of senior management and external executives.

  • Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment.

  • Competency with automotive, automation, mobile and cloud technologies.

  • MBA from a top-tier program

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
