Employer: WSP USA Inc. Job Title: Associate Consultant, Ports and Marine Engineer Location: 1001 Fourth Ave, Suite 3100, Seattle, WA 98154 Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related. 2 years of experience as a Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, or related. Experience must include: Analyzed structural members and connections using linear and nonlinear finite element analysis method and software such as STAAD pro and SAP2000. Designed substructure and superstructure structural members and connections in compliance with design codes and state specifications. Developed project specifications, cost estimates, concrete crack repair reports, and structural plans using detailing software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation. Provided technical support during the construction phase conflicts to the contractors and sub-consultants for plans and design revisions, Request for Information (RFI), and Submittals. Duties: Analysis of structural Components/structures such as piles, drydock and mole wall. Preparing technical Seismic evaluation report on performance of existing structure as per current code criteria for different level of earthquake. Providing retrofit solutions/alternatives. Perform civil/structural design for marine components and its connections by using Computation/drafting tools such as SAP2000, L-pile, PY wall, AutoCAD, Revit and spreadsheet calculations by using relevant marine, port, and coastal construction codes, regulations, and compliance standards or practices.
