Job Description

The ideal Assistant Technical Designer is detail-oriented, obsessed with apparel development and committed to providing outstanding customer service.

A day in the life…

  • Assist Technical Design Team to develop clear, concise Tech Packs to include measurement worksheet and construction images to align with Design intent and Brand DNA

  • Assist in evaluating samples to ensure product specifications, quality and construction standards are executed

  • Measure samples

  • Support Technical Design Team and participate in fit sessions as needed

  • Support Technical Design Team to meet calendar milestones and due dates

  • Support internal teams to maintain sample organization throughout development and production lifecycle

  • Assist in special projects as directed

You own this if you have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Pattern Making or equivalent industry experience

  • 1+ years of experience in Technical Design, preferably within Kids apparel.

  • Knowledge of Kids apparel regulations and standards preferred.

  • Organization and time management skills

  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively

  • Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop

  • Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management Software preferred

  • Exposure to 3D apparel development preferred – Browzwear, CLO, Optitex

  • Exposure to 2D pattern software preferred – Gerber Accumark, Optitex

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $51,500 - $83,000

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
