Our team seeks an Assistant Store Manager to direct the store management team to ensure the successful execution of all functions associated with running a retail profit center. You’ll manage a team of department managers and staff to deliver on REI business and service goals. With your dynamic leadership style, recognizing and rewarding team members will deepen engagement and cultivate TEAMWORK! You are an energetic and visible manager!

Responsibilities and Qualifications

How you will be successful:

  • Communicates with store team, partners,vendors,and customers.

  • Manage and delegate planned priorities to Department Managers and Shop Service Managers.

  • Engage in creating a positive employee experiencefocused on engagement and retention.

  • Manageexpensesand operational excellence.

  • Make business adaptations that result in increased sales andservice.

  • Uses tools andfinancial reports to increase store performance and maximize results.

  • Inspire a customer-centric culturebyrecognizing and rewardingteam.

  • Develop top performers and evaluate performance, give coaching and appropriatelevelof feedback.

Your qualities:

  • 3-5 years of successful retail management experience.

  • Enjoys communicating and building relationships, both inside and outside the organization. 

  • Open to feedback and other viewpoints in the spirit of supporting the business. 

  • Uses business understanding, innovative thinking, and sound judgment to solve problems. 

  • Makes solid recommendations by combining information from various sources.  

  • Produces quality work by setting effective goals andestablishingpriorities. 

  • Organizes and uses resources to meet deadlines, keeps others in the loop about plans and progress.  

  • Engages and influences others toaccomplishworthwhile organizational goals.

Pay Range

$41.02 - $51.31 per hour
