Lane's unique combination of capabilities includes public-private partnerships/innovative financing and joint ventures; large, complex design-build and bid-build projects; and the ability to produce and install asphalt, aggregates and concrete.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project.Responsibilities:Assists the project manager with:Overall responsibility for safety, quality, and budget for projects varying in sizeIn charge of project cost, staffing, and schedulingPrepare project status reports and work to ensure work adheres to contract specificationsLead and direct the work of othersCommunicate district and corporate information to the project team as well as keeping DM/ADM updatedDirect and supervise work or project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operation priorities and maintain satisfactory relationshipsEstablish/Define/Promote values, expectations, and performance standards for team and individual members in accordance with Lane's mission, vision, and valuesCreate and execute project work plansResponsible for the overall management of the project (e.g. resources, schedule) to ensure complete solution is delivered on time and within budgetManage cost, schedule, and program documentationCoach and develop staffDevelop and maintain positive relations with ownersCarry out job duties while maintaining Lane valuesAnd other duties as assignedQualifications:BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred but not mandatoryMUST have Heavy/Highway experience related to ITS/Electrical/Signal/SignageMinimum 5 years of project management experience in ITS/Electrical/Signal/Signage onheavy/highway constructionWSDOT experience highly preferred.Must be familiar with ITS, Lighting, Signal and/or Signage.
