$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) to work in our Pioneer Square Downtown programs Field Based team which focuses on Harborview's mission population to address health equity issues by increasing access to care in our unique primary care settings, homeless shelters, housing programs or community settings for people without housing or vulnerably housed.

WORK SCHEDULE: • Full-time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per week • M-F day shift

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Pioneer Square Downtown Programs are focused on serving Harborview Medical Center’s mission populations. Our service model is to bring nursing, mental health, and medical care to community sites to serve adults who are homeless, vulnerably housed and low income providing care by appointment or walk-in. All our programs are located within the community to reduce barriers to care and help establish a medical home that is easily accessible to our most vulnerable neighbors. Working within a model of team medicine, the RN is responsible for complex care coordination, walk-in triage and completing patient care tasks including complex wound care, medication management and patient education.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide clinical care provision (60-80%) and administrative support for our sites and nursing team (20-40%). • Work within one or more homeless shelters providing nursing care and linkages for shelter clients, triage various health concerns, and make appropriate referrals and recommendations for clinical care. • Perform specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Clinic Practice Manager and Clinic Medical Director. • Provide leadership for program and divisional activities that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving, communication, and professional development for self and others. • Serve as a role model for the team and provides guidance to other staff including review and evaluation of performance. • Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to prescribe, prioritize, delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients/families. • Make independent decisions and take action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations. • Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care.

REQUIREMENTS: • Active, valid Washington State or Multi-state RN license required by start date. • Two years of experience working as an RN. • Ability to practice independently to the full scope of RN licensure, complete nurse led encounters with standing protocols and/or provider orders. • Experience working with vulnerably housed individuals and patients dealing with mental illness and substance use disorder. • Experience working with diverse populations including limited English proficiency and immigrants
