The William Booth Center (WBC) Assistant Director administers and provides operational oversight to all WBC programs under the purview of The Salvation Army. The WBC Assistant Director serves as a representative of The Salvation Army at the direction of the Director of Housing. The WBC Assistant Director coordinates operations of component departments through active interaction with program managers. The WBC Assistant Director analyzes contract content and compliance, analyzes training needs and promotes and coordinates trainings and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance. Under the supervision of the Director of Housing, the WBC Assistant Director is responsible to manage the operational program budget in close coordination with positions supervised. Additionally, the WBC Assistant Director will seek opportunities for funding development, communicate with existing and potential donors, host program tours and make funding presentations, in coordination with the Divisional Development department. Duties & Responsibilities Maintain communication with Housing Director on contracts, personnel, grievances, and partnerships. Directly oversee William Booth Center program operations and staff. Foster proactive relationships with other service organizations. Handle crisis and inquiry calls, offering support and referrals. Conduct facility inspections and address hazards or issues. Manage emergencies and security procedures. Assist with budgeting and program contract compliance. Support, train, and supervise staff Collaborate with other Salvation Army programs. Maintain records, generate reports, and perform administrative duties. Host facility tours and provide presentations to donors Maintains the stability and reputation of the organization by complying with legal contract and accreditation/certification requirements Maintains agency operations, by providing for the formation and enforcement of program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures and promotes positive agency image by presenting program services to the community; publicizing accomplishments of the agency; and adhering to a professional code of ethics Maintains and enhances own professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and seminars; reviewing professional publications; and establishing professional networks Develops and maintains team effort by modeling appropriate team behavior and utilizing opportunities to promote team spirit Working in close coordination with Housing Director, determines internal organizational structure and staffing requirements to achieve the goals and objectives of WBC Reviews program operations and procedures for cost effectiveness, efficiency, and goal achievement; develops improvements in close cooperation with the Director of Operations and WBC Assistant Director Arranges for written agreements between The Salvation Army and subcontractors or other ag
