Perform Trade management duties for Ocean Cargo Services in The Americas with vision, leadership, energy, professionalism, and support in conjunction with the Global Ocean Cargo Group(s). Maintain adherence to The Company’s policy and procedures while displaying and communicating The Company’s goals and culture. The position will be responsible for developing strategies that match our corporate objectives and executing these strategies utilizing corporate and staff resources as deemed necessary.
College graduate or actively involved in securing a degree
2+ year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Preferred)
Ocean Cargo knowledge including pricing, processes, and operations (Preferred)
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend and effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
Pro-active, strong organizational skills and time management
Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Fluent in English
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Allocation Management
· Capacity Planning
· Analyze and forecast shortfall and overages
· Services string administration
Trade Management
· Commercial development Intra Americas
· Carrier Management
· Services as a bridge with Districts and Pricing
General Support
Update RFQ Pricing for FCL/LCL.
Development of reports
Maintain Rate Database
Projects supporting America’s Ocean initiatives.
Personal Development:
Meets company standards of 52 hours of training per year per employee.
Maintains a working knowledge of the industry.
