Job Title: Architectural Design Strategist

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Architectural Design Strategist who excels in building relationships and has a strong background in architectural programming and design requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in database management, prototyping, and standards development, and is capable of both deep-diving into data and seeing the bigger picture. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop program playbooks under supervision, pulling from multiple sources using Adobe InDesign.

  • Set up mechanisms and processes to automate data collection and entry (dRofus desired but not required).

  • Create roadmaps to outline project plans and work with minimal supervision.

  • Conduct data and gap analysis.

  • Work closely with Engineers, Architects, and Designers to develop building designs.

  • Obtain data from teams and provide quantitative assessments to track performance.

  • Assess and provide standardization for each program and identify commonalities.

  • Review all metrics and provide a quantitative assessment.

  • Survey drawings and extract relevant information.

  • Provide matrix of sizes for comparative analysis of square footage and attributes.

  • Build machine-oriented training and harness/build calculators.

  • Envision and design in 3-dimensional space.

  • Manage ownership of program profiles and critical design attributes common across all programs.

  • Think strategically about owner requirements and provide architectural owner's representative thinking.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

  • Warehouse and Industrial design strategy

  • Experience with architectural design, construction, and standardization of designs.

  • Proficiency in Revit, BIM360, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, and Illustrator.

  • Ability to conduct data and gap analysis.

  • Proficiency in Smartsheet and Asana (preferred but can be learned).

  • Strong skills in data entry and Excel.

  • Ability to build relationships with internal teams.

  • Strategic thinking and forward-thinking abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in prototyping and standards development.

  • Experience with architectural programming and design requirements.

  • Ability to automate data collection and entry processes.

  • Strong bias for action and ownership.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Technology-centric and data-centric skills.

Work Environment

The role involves working closely with Engineers, Architects, and Designers to develop building designs. The work environment can be remote or hybrid for candidates local to the Seattle area. The position is technology-based and data-centric, requiring proficiency in various design and project management tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00
