We use our proven track record as an innovator, our in-depth medical knowledge and our strategic guidance to help healthcare providers achieve their clinical, operational and business strategies.The Applications Consultant (Cardiology)will work directly with customers during the pre-implementations to assess clinical processes and design solutions that will maximize the customer's benefit from Agfa technologies. Consultants will often be exposed to C-level executives and business leaders at customer locations. The position requires excellent communication skills and a strong technical background. S/he will need to draw on broad clinical and technical expertise in order to successfully integrate our solutions with the hospital's clinical systems. Our consultants will be relied upon to coordinate project and integration activities with customers and third-party vendors during project implementations.This position travels to our customer sites and therefore requires proof of full vaccination against Covid-19Main Responsibilities:Application Consultant is part of an Implementation Project Team. S/he works with the team to plan, deploy, test and execute all tasks of a plan.Provide consultative services to hospital/department management to assist with the implementation of Enterprise Imaging.Determine application optimization within the department and provide customer with best practice methodologiesPerform policy and procedure development and reviewConduct workflow reviews (including system workflow and department process workflow)Determine staffing requirements, job descriptions and competenciesMaintain documentation covering each departmental implementationConduct Pre-Live & Post Live AssessmentsAssist with application training for personnel in Client ServicesCreates monthly Knowledge Base articlesGenerating new Professional Service opportunities- Use clinical experience and project related activities to identify new professional services opportunities and contribute to the Professional Services portfolio.Process Development -Develop internal process documentation related to the integration of Agfa's Solution in order to improve project and product delivery, shorten lead times for installations, and reduce service support overhead.Provide product input to Product Marketing and Product Development (R&D) groups using the information from previous and current installations. Provide written direction to these groups regarding product functionality that will improve the implementation processEducation: Bachelor of Science degree preferred.Certification and current registration in a clinical speciality (Cardiology).Experience:7+ years of experience in a Clinical Healthcare Specialty, Specifically Cardiology with demonstrated leadership skills. Work experience in Academic hospital setting strongly preferred. Healthcare IT vendor experience on an Implementation team a plus. Specific Skills:Strong clinical experience in Clinical IT; Cardiology specialty, with continuing exposure to clinical trends/developments through continuing education programs. Depth of clinical experience will serve as the backbone for the position's responsibilities.Strong leadership and critical thinking skills.
