Seattle Children’s Hospital Animal Technician III in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities: Conduct laboratory animal care and associated support duties according to standards set forth by the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (the Guide) to achieve and/or maintain full accreditation status with the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC). Provide training to staff and coordinate Research needs. Job Posting Addendum: This technician will work closely with the veterinary team and with their assistance and oversight be assigned additional duties. Requirements: Required Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of five (5) years as an Animal Technician, to include: Experience in rodent colony production techniques and maintenance. Experience in standard operating procedure, design and implementation. Required Credentials: N/A. Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a science specialty, or related field. American Assn. for Laboratory Animal Science ALAT, LAT or LATG Certifications. Experience in the basic materials management process (i.e., ordering, receiving and inventory control). Min to Max Hourly Salary: $25.09 - $37.64 /hr Min to Max Annual Salary: $52,187.20 - $78,291.20 /yr Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
