Mars, Incorporated Amazon Business Operations Analyst - R88124 in Seattle, Washington

Job Description: The Business Operations Analyst is the primary expert in the financial and operational processes for Petcare's business on Amazon: Serving as the go-to expert on our financial management tools, tracking and managing our nonworking investments like chargebacks and invalid pricing, and managing our deductions to ensure we're keeping our balance clean with our finance team. This person will also be tasked with monitoring some of the core metrics associated with in-stocks and order fulfilment, and will often be asked to help with ensuring we stay above our expectations on those metrics. What are we looking for?

  • 1+ year's proficient Excel and analytics experience
  • Analytics knowledge and experience with data in Excel
  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree program in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience within 3rd party/company in supply chain/logistics or financial management would be preferred.

What will be your key responsibilities? The Business Operations Analyst will work closely with the Sales Analyst as well as the Senior Account Manager to ensure the Amazon budget is tracked in a timely and accurate manner. They will be focused on financial and supply fundamentals - Compass management, nonworking spend research, and assistance on detailed supply work.

  • Ensuring we're tracking and reporting our finances correctly: Submitting contracts, categorizing spends, and allocating necessary funds across brands and products
  • Managing our deductions and financial tracking tools: Coding and clearing our deductions, ensuring our balance stays clean and we're a positive impact to the total Mars Petcare P&L
  • Reporting to internal stakeholders: Owning monthly budget review with sales team and period trade review with sales finance manager
  • Owning our nonworking spend research: Researching pricing errors, shortages, late payments and post-audits to determine if they're valid, and working closely with the sales team to manage
  • Preparing our new items for sale on Amazon: Setting up new items in Amazon's catalog and updating our internal authorization list
  • Assisting our sales and supply teams with order monitoring and analysis: Researching unexpected cuts, tracking quota and allocation, calling out order management issues, identifying inventory risks
  • Owning day-to-day efforts to keep our Amazon business on track: Answering Andon Cords, updating and maintaining Amazon Fresh master item list
