Port of Seattle Airport Dining & Retail Program Manager in Seattle, Washington

Some of what you'll be doing:

As the Airport Dining and Retail Program Manager, you will coordinate and oversee various programs that contribute to the economic vitality and sales growth of the Airport Dining and Retail (ADR) program. You will work to assure high quality performance by concessionaires and provide guidance for tenant improvement with a strong focus on customer experience.

  • You will act as a subject matter expert within ADR and consult across internal departments, providing mentorship and contributing specialized knowledge to improve business performance and customer experience.

  • You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and determine optimal customer experience within the ADR program.

  • You will create training content and facilitate training for tenant focused programs and collaborate on marketing strategies for training events to both current and potential tenants.

  • You will evaluate, develop and provide technical support for internal and external stakeholders on navigating processes and standards.

  • You will identify changes in legal requirements and government reporting regulations and ensure programs, policies, procedures, processes, and reporting are in compliance.

  • You will participate in assigned industry groups/committees or with specific entities such as other airports or government agencies as a representative of the Port.

  • You will evaluate, procure and oversee external vendors to ensure contract compliance, quality of service provided, and resolve potential issues.

Who you are:

  • Experienced – You have five (5) years of experience in concessions, retail, food and beverage management, and/or public sector operations, with an emphasis on program management and process improvement.

  • Organized – You possess a high attention to detail and accuracy. You have the ability to use effective methods to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time and deal with expected and unexpected change.

  • Collaborator – You have a high level of workplace emotional intelligence and the ability to effectively work within a team environment and independently. You can work collaboratively and effectively within diverse groups and individuals internally and externally.

What else you need to know:

  • Work Schedule – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work on-call to respond during off shift hours to address any issues that could adversely impact Port operations.

  • Work Environment - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management’s discretion.

  • Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.

  • Security Requirements – As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
