Providence St. Joseph Health Admissions RN - Hospice in Seattle, Washington

Description Schedule: Full time position working four 10 hour shifts (11am-9:30pm) and one weekend a month Job Description: The Admissions RN Nurse provides holistic care to terminally ill adult or pediatric patients and their families by assessing the needs of the patient, and then planning, coordinating, implementing, and as needed, revising the Plan of Care. The RN works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice group (IDG) with the goals of anticipating changes in the patient's condition, avoiding crises, promoting patient and family choice, assuring continuity of care, and enhancing the quality of life of dying patients. This position performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts, demonstrates a commitment to the Sisters of Providence and Hospice of Seattle (PHOS) mission & philosophy, the Code of Conduct and Integrity, and the Core Values of integrity, compassion, justice, excellence and dignity. Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree Nursing Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing Or equivalent educ/experience Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License Preferred Qualifications: 1 year Nursing experience; some pediatric nursing experience required for a position in the Pediatric Programs. Prior Hospice, Homecare, Long Term Care, medical/surgical, and/or oncology experience. Why Join Providence?
