Schedule and pay rate

  • Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, $21+ DOE

What’s a typical day like as an administrative assistant? You’ll:

  • Receive and process customer orders via phone, mail, and through sales personnel.

  • Execute requests for quotation from customers and prospects

  • Type, mail, or fax as necessary.

  • Effectively handle the expediting of customer and inventory orders.

  • Provide total customer satisfaction by promptly and efficiently reacting to customer requirements, while working within established company guidelines.

  • Facilitate with distribution including: negotiating freight rates and tariffs, routing traffic, tracing shipments, obtaining proof of delivery, and the filing of freight claims.

  • Analyze, administer, and order inventory for the regional location.

  • Processing customer returns and requests for credit.

  • Assist in the resolving of credit problems.

  • Contact outside vendors for services, price, delivery, and the request of issuance of purchase orders for the same.

  • Order general and shipping supplies.

  • Administer and analyze daily cycle counting.

  • Assist in the training of regional operations personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 6+ months related experience and/or training
