Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Finance and Accounting division in Seattle, WA. The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees and optimizes the billing and collection of outstanding invoices and payments. This role ensures accurate and timely invoicing, maintains effective relations with clients to facilitate prompt payment and implements strategies to minimize overdue accounts. By managing these processes efficiently, this role supports the organization's cash flow, contributes to financial stability, and enhances overall operational effectiveness. This role requires you to be on site at our Seattle Headquarters 3 or more days each week. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include: People Management (35%) Commitment to high standards of detail, accuracy, and quality, efficiently managing team to meet expectations by planning, organizing and providing productive feedback, coaching, recognition and individual development planning to foster a high-performing team. Motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. Perform quality reviews to ensure performance meets department expectations and adheres to quality assurance. Manage team to identify and plan to mitigate critical business continuity risks. Analyze team expectations and KPI's to provide recommendations for budgetary needs. Actively work on employee engagement. Managing Billing Operations (35%) Enforce billing policies, procedures, and timelines to make recommendations for efficiency improvements that support internal controls and customer service. Ensure there is proper documentation for closing, stakeholder requests and various audits. Oversee and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing and payment processes, safeguarding the integrity of billing operations. Leverage comprehensive knowledge of billing systems and processes to operational performance. Evaluate and monitor billing performance metrics, generating reports and actionable recommendations for leadership to support decision making. Collaboration and Customer support (30%) Coordinate and collaborate with other departments, such as projects, business operations, accounting, and IT, to ensure smooth and efficient billing processes and stakeholder satisfaction. Standardize processes to reduce recurring billing issues. Engage in productive collaboration with sales, customer service, and accounting departments to streamline billing workflows and elevate customer satisfaction. Manage complex and escalated billing issues and disputes by collaborating and partnering with internal and external departments. Lead both routine and special meetings to deliver insights to teams and leadership. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry Bachelor's degree in business or an accounting emphasis or combination of education and experience equivalent required. 5-7 years of AR experience with at least 3 years of manager level preferred.
