The Opportunity with McKinstry
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our growing Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you will manage the Accounts Payable operations and team. Other tasks include:
Accounts Payable– Procure to Pay
Prioritize and manage day-to-day processing & resource needs of all vendor invoices,dailyPOimports,postings,andinvoiceentries withestablishedproduction timelines are met.
Development&deliveryoftrainingtonewandexistingteammembersrelatedto AP, Invoice& PO processes.
Creationandmaintenanceofinternalprocessesandprocedures.
Providesaccountingassistancetoprojectmanagersandoperationsstaff;responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
Responsiblefor the interfacebetween3rdpartyimagevendorandERPsystem.
Partnerscross-functionallywithPurchasingand/orotherdepartmentstosolveand strengthen processing efficiencies & support.
Serveasaprimarybackupto the Managerandpeerswithinthedepartmentwhen needed.
Supervise
Prioritizationofdailyproductionneeds&taskassignmenttoteammembers.
Managesreconciliationreportinganddailytransactionposting.
Trains,mentorsandmanagesstaffineffectivetacticstoattainteamgoals.
Createsandproducesdaily,weekly,monthly, and quarterlymetrics(KPI’s)tomeasure production,performanceandestablisheddepartmentalgoals.
Createsperformanceplans,assessesperformanceandprovidesperformancefeedback as well as succession plans for direct reports.
Maintainsandcreatesdepartmentalprocessesanddocumentedoperational procedures.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of Accounts within a Procure to Pay environment.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with large-scale ERP (tier 1 or 2) systems required.
Experience supervising within a procure-to-pay team, under a paperless processing environment, workflow, electronic invoice import, creation of import templates and formatting.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
Seven (7) years of accounting experience required.
One (1) year of leadership experience required.
Knowledge of state mechanics lien law procedures and sales tax laws pertaining to construction preferred.
Knowledge of lump sum and cost-plus billing procedures preferred.

The pay range for this position is $58,410 - $94,100 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
