Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Seattle, Washington
Description
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing daily transactions, tracking payment obligations, and ensuring smooth financial operations within our organization. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process invoices and daily financial transactions
• Manage corporate credit card download, review, and approval process
• Execute check runs and wire payments as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to process payments
• Update daily cash flow report with disbursements made and monitor future payment obligations
• Monitor accounts payable aging and track payment obligations to specific vendors
• Be responsive to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable transactions
• Support other department activities for month-end closing process
• Prepare schedules for annual audits and process IRS forms annually
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned
• Prepare annual allocation of prepaid expenses and related monthly journal entries.
The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $33.00 per hour.
Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Coding
• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in ADP - Financial Services is required
• Familiarity with Concur software
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting
• Proven skills in Auditing
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Relevant certification (e.g., CPA) would be an advantage.
