Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our nonprofit client in Downtown Seattle. The role involves processing invoices, managing corporate credit card transactions, preparing payment schedules, and handling internal and external inquiries relating to accounts payable transactions. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process various invoices and daily transactions.

• Manage the initiation, review, and approval process of corporate credit card downloads.

• Prepare and schedule check runs and wire payments as necessary.

• Collaborate with the team to facilitate timely payments to guest artists.

• Update and maintain daily cash flow reports, keeping track of disbursements made and future payment obligations.

• Monitor the aging of accounts payable and track payment obligations to specific vendors.

• Address internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable transactions promptly and professionally.

• Assist with department activities during the month-end closing process.

• Prepare schedules for annual audits and process IRS 1099 and 1042 forms annually.

• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and prepare annual allocation of prepaid expenses along with related monthly journal entries.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is necessary for this role.

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must.

• Knowledge of Concur is essential.

• The candidate must be adept at ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Understanding of Accounting Functions is a prerequisite.

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is expected.

• Accrual Accounting skills are crucial for this position.

• Auditing experience is highly beneficial.

• Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations is advantageous.
