Accounts Payable Analyst

[POSITION PURPOSE:]{.underline}

The Senior Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for including tracking and analysis of off systems behavioral health Integrated Managed Care (IMC) Behavioral Health (BH) and behavioral health state only (BHSO) state funds/claims. This position is also responsible for analysis of prepaid expenses, fixed assets and depreciation, general administrative support to the Finance department.

[PRINCIPAL DUTIES:]{.underline}

  • Responsible for the analysis of BHSO funds, request for check issuance and invoices; maintenance of Accounts Receivable.
  • Provide decision support and recommendations to management through analysis of expenditure trends of BH/BHSO.
  • Responsible for the tracking and analysis of IMC BH and BHSO funds and claims including the recommendation for accruals, off system claims payable and collaboration with Healthcare Economics.
  • Work cross-functionally to prepare and/or review analytics and management reporting, working closely with business partners to recommend, develop, and implement new metrics or reports.
  • Provide decision support for department, including data requests for financial statements accruals, bids, and budget.
  • Responsible for invoicing vendor accounts payable transactions and check issuance and general ledger entries and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Coordinate 1099 issuance and reconciliation.
  • Fixed assets inventory maintenance and related depreciation schedules, entries, and reconciliations.
  • Maintains unclaimed property accounts and issues letters for outstanding checks on monthly basis.
  • Responsible for general administrative support to the Finance Department; maintenance of accounting files; general and administrative expense accruals, and projects.
  • Responsible for the review and improvement of new and existing processes and policies within Finance. Supports Finance projects and initiatives.

 Have at least three (3) years of experience in accounting, preferably in Accounts Payable.
