We are recruiting for an Accounting Technician II to join our team and support the work of the department. This role is an integral and important part of the Accounting Team. Job Responsibilities

Here is more about what you will be doing:

  • Invoicing and payment processing

  • Daily upload of payments from Origami (Workers’ compensation system)

  • Processing accounting transactions for healthcare, unemployment, worker's compensation, and group term life/long-term disability funds

  • Performing complex duties associated with the reconciliation, balancing, or processing of vouchers, ledgers, and journals

  • Processing travel advances and reimbursements and responding to travel inquiries

  • Contacting vendors to obtain necessary documentation

  • Vendor setup

In addition to the capabilities listed above, this job requires:

Experience: Two years accounting/bookkeeping experience or one-year of experience as an Accounting Technician I

Equivalency: A combination of experience, training, or education which provides an equivalent background required to perform this work

Additional Information

This is a full time position that is classified as an Accounting Technician II. Most work is performed in a normal City work/office environment but at this time the work is being performed remotely.
