Robert Half Accounting Manager in Seattle, Washington

Description

Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Manager that is focused, eager, and experienced for an immediate opening at a dynamic, progressive company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. An integral part of this position is establishing and scaling company accounting and finance operations. Major responsibilities

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration

  • Assemble various technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

  • Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

  • Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Recent relevant financial experience

  • Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Background working with general ledger

  • Practical knowledge of auditing

  • General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Expertise in Contract Compliance

  • Foundational knowledge in non-profit fund accounting

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Analyze Revenues experience

  • Financial reporting experience highly preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of grant accounting

  • Strong familiarity with budgeting

  • Adeptness in Expense Analysis
