R.D. Barnett PLLC Accounting Manager - Veterinary Practices in Seattle, Washington

The R.D. Barnett team is seeking an exceptionally bright and self-motivated Accounting Manager - Veterinary Practices to join our Client Accounting Services Team. The Accounting Manager will work closely with R.D. Barnett CPAs and other team members to assist veterinary practice clients with their bookkeeping and accounting functions, provide clients with proactive guidance and support to instill best practices, and ensure client books and records are in tip-top-shape for tax returns. In this role, you become a fully integrated member of the team with client assignments within your first month of employment.     What you'll be responsible for:

  • All things accounting clean-up!

  • Monthly transactional accounting for accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations in QuickBooks

  • Prepare and complete Payroll, as well as Quarterly and Annual Payroll Reporting

  • Prepare and complete State and Local Revenue Filings

  • Anticipate client needs and respond timely and professionally to client emails/calls

    What makes you qualified:

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience (AP/AR/General Ledger)

  • Champion in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Exposure to software platforms for bill pay (such as Bill.com) and payroll (such as Gusto, ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks)

  • Demonstrated experience with Federal, State and Local taxation regulation and filings (sales, excise, payroll)

  • Ability to work approved overtime, as needed during busy periods (quarter-end and year-end)

  • References from prior employers/supervisors/clients

    How you'll be compensated:

  • Full-Time Salaried Compensation $75,000 to $95,000

  • Casual Office Environment

  • 15 Vacation Days
