Robert Half 3D Product Designer in Seattle, Washington

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a large consumer product company in search of a 3D Product Designer to support an upcoming brand partnership initiative. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial design, 3D modeling, and product visualization, with the ability to translate creative concepts into commercially viable products while ensuring design integrity and alignment with brand values.

Location: Remote (PST)

Contract Duration: 3+ months

Pay Rate: $45-50/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D designs across 12 kitchenware product categories for a new brand collaboration.

  • Produce 2D concept sketches, final renderings, and multiple colorway/pattern variations.

  • Prepare technical specifications and production-ready files for manufacturing.

  • Conduct sample reviews and provide detailed feedback for refinement.

  • Lead end-to-end product development from concept ideation to production.

  • Create high-quality 3D renderings, technical specifications, and production-ready files.

  • Develop concept sketches, presentation decks, and product storyboards.

  • Review and provide detailed feedback on factory samples to ensure quality and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sourcing, and engineering.

  • Present design concepts and project updates to internal leadership and stakeholders.

    Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in industrial product design or related fields.

  • Expert proficiency in 3D modeling software (Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot, or similar).

  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Experience with generative AI tools for design exploration.

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production methods.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in client and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Experience using collaboration platforms for remote work and project management.
