This role involves working in a Distribution Center or a Shipping Area, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, storing, issuing, packaging, and shipping of aircraft parts and major assemblies.

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Job Type: Full Time (3-4 Months)

Location: SeaTac, WA 98168

Pay Rate: $22.50 - $25.50 per hour

Shifts:

• Training:

• 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday) in Tukwila, WA Full Time:

• Multiple shifts including weekend shifts (candidates must be available for all shifts)

• Shifts:

• M-F 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

• M-F 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)

• M-F 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

• Weekend (Sat/Sun) 1st shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

• Weekend (Sat/Sun) 2nd shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, store, issue, package, crate, and overbox aircraft parts, major assemblies, tools, kits, and hazardous materials.

• Ensure proper handling and packaging of hazardous materials per established domestic and international rules, regulations, and mandates.

• Operate typical material handling equipment such as riding electric-powered lifts, overhead hoists, and conveyors.

• Use packaging equipment such as power saws, pneumatic nail guns and staplers, knives, and banding equipment.

• Work in high places as required.

• Maintain inventory records and accountability using Microsoft Windows and mainframe computing.

• Open shipping containers using a knife, crowbar, and/or hammer.

• Compare and verify shipping labels and packing slips for accuracy.

• Sort freight and route it to appropriate areas.

• Store parts to ensure inventory accuracy and part integrity.

• Fabricate and pack shipping containers.

• Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or environment as well as daily work priorities.

• Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the completion of team goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma

Ideal candidates will have experience in one of the following:

• Experience working at heights up to 65 ft.

• Experience with stand-up stackers.

• Construction experience.

• Warehouse experience.

• Forklift experience.

• SAP experience.

• Aerospace experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently stand, lift/carry up to 15 lbs and occasionally up to 35 lbs.

• Occasionally bend, kneel, and twist.

• Ability to work in high places.

• Exposure to radioactive signs, explosives, lubricants, solvents, wood splinters, sawdust, and other hazardous materials.

• Use of eye, hearing, hand/foot, and fall protection may be required.

Pay Details: $22.50 to $25.50 per hour
