The Team

Interns at Alaska and Horizon join teams throughout different departments such as Maintenance and Engineering, Marketing and so on. Interns work on visible projects that impact our guests and business. Beyond hands-on experience, interns also get the opportunity to network with employees and company leaders. What’s more, our interns can fly standby travel on Alaska Airlines during their internship. That means many weekends are filled with jet setting across the country.

Key Duties

  • Creating project deliverables with the senior project manager’s oversight

  • Monitoring and documenting project progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery

  • Participating in project meetings and presentations

  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues

  • Conducting research and analysis to support project decision-making

  • Providing feedback and suggestions for project improvement

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • Working toward a Bachelors degree with a focus in business, engineering, or computer science

  • A strong interest in project management and a desire to learn new skills

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project management tools

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and deadlines

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship

  • Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Experience working with digital technology or experiences

  • 1+ years of relevant professional work

  • Experience in agile software development

Starting Rate

USD $30.00/Hr.

Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air pay and benefits can vary by company, location, number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment, and employment status.
