We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Lumper to join our logistics warehouse team in Ridgefield, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading freight from trucks, containers, and trailers, ensuring the safe handling of merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Your day-to-day tasks will include sorting, stacking, and moving freight, as well as assisting with general warehouse duties.

salary: $18.99 - $19 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 6 AM - 3 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

  • Sort and Organize Freight: Sort freight according to size, shape, and weight, and ensure proper placement in designated storage areas or onto trucks for distribution.

  • Inspect Freight: Check freight for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the warehouse supervisor.

  • Use of Equipment: Operate material handling equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified), to move freight within the warehouse.

  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of debris. Sweep or clean warehouse areas as needed.

  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and truck drivers to meet daily operational goals and ensure timely loading/unloading.

  • Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques.

  • Documentation: Complete required paperwork and update freight logs as necessary.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • manual lifting up to 75lbs

  • standing for 8 hours at one time

  • working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
